Yesterday morning I had to take Elvis for a walk because he wouldn't go out by himself. Then he started barking a little in the house I think waiting for her to bark back.
Sunday night was horrible because she was fine all day and had been running around in the yard with Elvis. I had noticed I was filling up their water bowl more but it didn't seem excessive. They said she must have had some sort of growth on her spleen that had ruptured and her abdomen was filled with blood, her blood pressure and body temperature were really low. The Vet said even if they had done surgery with that much damage she wasn't going to get better. She got sick and was gone within 3 hours so she didn’t suffer long--the one consolation I guess.
Elvis was so confused when we got home. Curt had to carry Cady to the car to go to the hospital and when we got back Elvis ran outside in the yard looking for her and then was all over me and sniffing my clothes and sweatshirt--smelling her. We left her at the hospital and I have to call today to make arrangements for her cremation.
I wanted to go to the office yesterday and not work at home but I didn’t want to leave Elvis alone either. I have to go to the office for half the day on Friday and Elvis will probably go to work with Curt. He’s taken him before and then I’ll pick him up at like 2 or so.
My parents sent flowers yesterday and they are really pretty but a little sad too. The delivery guy rang the doorbell and there was only Elvis to go running and barking at him :-(
I keep expecting to see Cady out on the front lawn sunning her self.

We have our first baby class this evening so that should be interesting. We’ll also go on a tour of the hospital. Saturday Nov. 10th was the three month mark until the arrival of Burger.
