Back at Childrens Hospital... again

Well the three of us are back at the hospital. Cailyn started having seizures Friday night and within 24 hours on Saturday had 25 seizures. Her medicine is not working and they aren't sure if its because since we left here three weeks ago she's gained so much weight. She was a pound and a half under birth weight when we got here 3 weeks ago and has now gained that all back plus a pound and a half making her more than 9 lbs.

We went to our local ER first but then they decided to transfer us to Childrens via ambulance. Cailyn and I came down in the ambulance and Curt came a few hours later after going home and getting some sleep and packing our bags in the car.

She's sleeping comfortably now. She got a new higher dose of the medicine in the IV so now we wait and see if that will work. So far besides bloodwork it seems like they won't have to do anymore crappy tests like MRI or Spinal Tap. Hopefully as soon as they get the seizures to fully stop and figure out the correct new dosage for the medicine we'll be able to go home again. It's sad when half the nursing staff remembers you and your baby. They are all really nice though and very helpful.

Curt and I are both staying with her. Luckily his parents were in town this weekend so they are home with Elvis. They are supposed to stay until Monday or Tuesday so hopefully we'll be out by Tuesday so we don't have to try and figure out what to do for the little snorter.

Here's a picture of Cailyn. She's got an IV in her foot and her head is wrapped up in the turbin because they have all the electrodes on it again for the EEG, which measures her brainwaves. Poor little Ladybug.

All prayers and thoughts are welcomed. I'll post more details when we find out what's up.
