So Tuesday Curt took the car to the shop to get it repaired. Its only a few months old, so you think the repair would be under warranty right. Well no, apparently that stupid A-Hole in front of us who's tire was shredding all over the road shot a piece up into our engine and killed the AC compressor... not covered by warranty... that will be $750 please. The guy at Hyundai suggested we call the insurance so now it will be fixed for our $250 deductible but I wish I could find that jerk with the crappy tires.
To recap the rest of the trip...
The Wedding was absolutely beautiful. The Jekyll Island Hotel was really pretty and the garden for the ceremony was nice although 4 pm in the blazin' Georgia sun was hot.
Cailyn celebrated her first 4th of July and saw fireworks---Red, White and Cute Baby!
Cailyn got to see the Ocean
Monday was my birthday so we went out with my parents and Helaine and Linda. We had a fun time at Cheesecake Factory despite the amazingly full diaper Miss Cailyn decided to produce.
Then Tuesday, I got my hair done, Cailyn visited Grandma's office and all her friends, then we met Steve Newman for dinner along with his new girlfriend and her daughter. We ate at a yummy place called the Mellow Mushroom, a healthier pizza place with whole wheat crusts and fresh toppings.
Wednesday we went to Linda and Nikki's new house for dinner. Linda cooked yumminess, Cailyn met Jack the pug, her new guardian buddy and almost had a heartattack when Basso the Beagle decided to howl right next to her little sleeping body.
Thursday we saw Kevin and Darin in Lakeland.
Lots of craziness going on as well with our friends. We now know of 5 couples getting or very recently divorces. (we found out about 4 of them on this trip) We were starting to think we are cursed Wedding Guests because we'd been to 4 of the 5 weddings. But the fifth one we didn't attend so hopefully we aren't bad luck for those of you getting married.
Work has been busy and Curt's company is moving so there's lots to do. Olivia is on vacation this week so Cailyn is a little lonely. We did see Isabel and Zachary at the Library and wow are they getting big. They are one month to the day older than Cailyn, who if you can believe it is now 5 months old. The time has surely flown by.
I'm a little crooked but getting better at sitting up
Lying by the pool
Look I can read now
