It's like a switch clicked on today

For the past week Cailyn has been sick and messed up in the tummy. Tuesday she stopped wanting to take the bottle. She would thrash her head if you tried to put it in or she'd throw up afterwards if you finally did get her to take it. So we've been working more with the sippy cup and finally this morning she got it. She now understands the suck necessary to get the liquid.

This is awesome because if we can get her to eat more food and continue with the soy milk in the cup we can dump the formula and bottles. If she's ok with the sippy for the rest of the night I'm heading out tomorrow and picking up 3 or 4 more of the same kind.

Looks like Cailyn will be sleeping with Mommy, Daddy and Elvis tonight. The heat is broken and the guy is coming to fix it between 10 and 2 tomorrow. We have a small space heater if we need it but we'll just add some socks and longsleeves under the sleeper and she should be fine. It's easier to bundle her up than cool her down. When the power was out a few times over the summer we went and stayed at a friends so she'd be comfortable in the air conditioning.

Back to the doctor's in the a.m. and we'll see what his opinion is on all this puking. I might try to hit the hay early. I'm tired.
