We've had a lot of fires at work to take care of and one included 3 late nights in a row, working after midnight.
Cailyn's schedule is really busy too. She has therapy alomost every day now and some days more than one session a day.
- Every other Monday she has OT
- Tuesday PT
- Wednesday PT and now every other Wednesday Speech Therapy too
- Thursday PT
- Friday OT for the cranio sacral therapy
It has not been easy getting all of this pulled together. The early intervention folks who come to the house will only come once a week and then my insurance has now run out for PT visits so it's great Cailyn has Medicaid to help pay for this all. The big expense for Curt and I is just the time. One of us has to take two hours out of our work day to take her to these sessions and then make up the time later on. It does get hard to balance it all.
We are also still down a babysitter on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We found a woman but the background check paperwork has been messed up twice and I'm waiting for it to be redelivered here so I can send it back a third time.
We got back earlier in the week with a visit to Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Danielle. I have some pics to post of Cailyn's new Florida swing so I'll try to get those up this weekend.
Today will be a long day. I have to take Cailyn to Hopkins for an EEG, her first in over a year, to see what's going on. We haven't seen any seizures in 2 months but she is probably having subclinical seizures which means it's happenening in her brain but we don't see any jerking or strange movements. It could explain her lack of attention and easy distraction. While we are there we are also trying to meet up with the woman working on an epilepsy study and the geneticist for some blood tests.
This weekend if there's no rain Curt and I need to work on leaves, wow we have big trees, and take care of some other yard projects. We will also work on pulling together the conversion of the front living room to a playroom/gym for Cailyn.
Short work week again next week is definitely welcomed. We are staying here for Thanksgiving which will be nice. Upcoming trips include meeting in GA for Christmas with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Danielle and then Vegas with my whole family right at Cailyn's second b'day.
