The other Mom in the room with us got rushed to the ER. She was talking to the nurse and passed out. She had been complaining that it was cold all day. So who knows. The nurse wasn't sure what to do because she's used to kids. They ended up keeping her in the ER for at least 4 hours and gave her an IV--her blood pressure was low. I helped the nurses get her daughter back to sleep but it was really weird.
Cailyn is ok. She's grumpy and fussy and sleepy but that's to be expected after the fast. Now she's back to 4 bottles on the new formula. Overnight her blood sugar was so low they had to give her orange juice and then again this morning. I would have never thought it was allowed to give her OJ or as much water as we had to yesterday.
I might go home tonight to sleep in my own bed and leave Curt here but I really like this Mom sharing the room with us and don't know if I want to subject her to the possible snoring that could occur if he stays.
Its good to be going through this with other parents and good we got in so quickly. Apparently they've had very good results for kids with IS if they enter the program shortly after they have been diagnosed.
We have class again at 2 today so I'm going to try and get some work done before we have to sit in on that. More updates later.
