Both babies slept really well last night. Maeve only woke up one time and Cailyn slept the whole night. Or else I was in such a coma-like sleep that I didn't hear anything else.
We have 4 meetings yesterday so it was jam packed. First we learned a computer program to help track and plan meals with the correct rations of fat, protein and carbs. Then we learned what to do when the kids are sick because they will have a high risk of dehydration and lots of cold medicine has carbs. The third meeting was with two parents who's kids were successful with the program. One of the kids had IS and her brainwaves were clear of the dreaded chaotic brainwaves after one month and she was only on the diet for 6 months. The last meeting was as much time as you needed to get your questions answered with the doctor and to get all of her prescriptions. There were at least 7--- all 3 parts of her formula, a drug to make sure she doesn't get kidney stones, two different kind of sticks to test her urine, special vitamins and I can't even remember the rest this early in the morning. We also have to have on hand tylenol suppositories if she gets a fever and this stuff called George's Aloe Vera juice to make sure she doesn't get constipated.
This morning we'll learn how to use our scales, any food these kids eats has to be weighed to the precise grams, THIS FOOD IS HER MEDICINE and then we'll get to go home after lunch.
Curt is bringing her prescriptions to the pharmacist and they are supposed to call me this morning if he can't get anything so I can get it at this pharmacy before we leave. I need to call the Insurance Company too and pave the way for some of the things which they might give us trouble for covering.
More later. I'm going to try to get a little more work done before Cailyn wakes up.
