It has been a busy month. Lots going on with Miss Cailyn.
We bumped up one of her meds and lowered another and she's doing better. She went a week with no scary seizures and then one Sunday and two yesterday. She's happy and bright and shiny most of the time so it's ok. I think the one med needs to go up again but we'll have to wait a week or so and check back in with the neurologist.
We got her leg braces adjusted today and she's supposed to start wearing them overnight to stretch out her heels, they are tight and make her ankles go in weird positions.
We finally got her MRI scheduled for July 8, the insurance approval runs out on the 9th (cutting it a little closer than I'd like). This way they'll check her brain and compare her other 2 MRIs to see if she's a candidate for surgery for her seizures. I don't know how I feel about this. It would be awesome if they were able to finally find a reason and attempt to fix it, but holy crap, brain surgery, that's a big deal.
My parents are coming this weekend and we'll all head to the Poconos to visit with Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Joe. My Great Aunt Dottie, who is 90 and just got her second hip replaced, will be there as well. It will be good to see everyone again.
Have a Happy 4th of July.
